Moataz earned his Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy in 2023 from New York University. Prior to that, he obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Queens College-CUNY in 2020. 

Moataz volunteered in the Brain Injury unit at Jamaica Hospital where he shadowed occupational therapists working with a vast caseload of neurological diagnoses. Throughout his second year at NYU, Moataz gained experience working with a wide variety of patients during his fieldwork rotations. This included working with a pediatric population with developmental delays at a preschool associated with Interdisciplinary Center Child Development. Moataz worked with adults in inpatient orthopedics at NYU Langone, and inpatient neuro rehab at Mount Sinai. Further, he worked in an outpatient hand therapy clinic with adult clients. Moataz earned valuable experience during his outpatient rotation where he worked with a variety of upper extremity diagnoses ranging from tendon injuries, hand wounds and sprains, to fractures and shoulder injuries. Moataz applies evidence-based approaches, and utilizes functional activities and a client-centered approach to guide his treatment interventions. In his practice, he believes that it is vital for individuals to understand their condition and ultimately recognize the gradual process it takes to return to their active lifestyles in a safe and gratifying manner. 

Moataz was raised in Queens, NY. He loves to spend time with his family and friends. His favorite hobbies include boxing and basketball, exploring different cuisines, going to the gym, and traveling!
