Colby graduated from Northeastern University, where he earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy and Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation Science with a Business minor. During his time at Northeastern, Colby performed research examining the multiple barriers of living an active and healthy lifestyle for children with Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis. During his time at school, Colby began his involvement with many non-profit organizations, including Relay for Life, JDRF, the Pan-Mass Challenge, Amp Surf, and various others.
His clinical experience includes treating in a wide variety of outpatient orthopedic settings, including a stint at Tufts University’s Athletics department, where he helped student athletes with their sports rehabilitation. He has also performed aquatic and home therapy during his rotation in Hawaii. Colby has a high interest in working with patients who have chronic pain, believes in a collaborative approach between the Physical Therapist and the patient, and wants to empower his patients by giving them the tools necessary to reach their unique goals.
In his free time, Colby is constantly trying to better himself as a clinician. He plans on pursuing his CSCS and COMT certifications as soon as possible. He is also an adaptive surfing instructor and plans on continuing to volunteer over the summers. While not in the clinic, Colby enjoys photography, traveling, surfing and rooting for the Patriots.
