Juan Correa received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy and Masters in Anatomy and Clinical Health from the University of Delaware. He has clinical experience working with a wide range of patients in orthopedics, sports rehabilitation, acute medical ICU, and outpatient neurology/geriatrics. Juan’s clinical focus is on outpatient orthopedics and is a board-certified specialist in the field through the American Physical Therapy Association.
Juan’s interest in physical therapy began as a patient in high school. During his rehabilitation, he interacted with many healthcare professionals, but the attention and hands-on care he received from his physical therapist always stood out to him during his recovery. It is this patient-centered attention that Juan utilizes to provide individualized and evidence-based care to his own patients.
Prior to receiving his doctorate, Juan’s experience in healthcare includes a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training. He has worked with athletes in the high school and Division 1 collegiate levels and is a trained medical interpreter for the Spanish-speaking patients in his community.
In his spare time, Juan enjoys soccer, going to the gym, playing video games, and spending time with his loved ones. As a big foodie, Juan also loves to eat and cook adventurous food and looks forward to all of the calories NYC has to offer.
